SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
NOW ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS FOR ZAUM 20xs

Priority Deadline – March 7th, 2016
Final Deadline – April 8th, 2016
Zaum accepts the prose, poetry and visual art of graduate and undergraduate students from all over the world. It is our mission to showcase bright, new talent and give student writers and artists a place of their own in the literary world.
Please limit prose pieces to no more than 15 total pages, and poetry to no more than 6 poems. Written submissions should be sent in .docx or .doc format. Art submissions should be sent in .jpeg format, at a MINIMUM 300 dpi.
PLEASE NOTE: WE ONLY PUBLISH WORK BY CURRENTLY ENROLLED COLLEGE STUDENTS (BOTH UNDERGRAD AND GRAD LEVEL).

Submission Review Process:
One half of the Zaum staff reviews prose submissions, and is led by the Prose Editor. The other half of the staff reviews poetry submissions, and is led by the Poetry Editor. The entire staff reviews art submissions, and is led in that discussion by the Art Editor.
A majority vote determines whether a piece is accepted or rejected. In cases when a majority decision cannot be made, the Senior Editor makes the final decision.
The Senior Editor is the only staff member who sees the name of each person who submits work. When the submissions are reviewed by the staff, the names of the authors and artists are removed from the pieces, to ensure that pieces are accepted based on merit alone.
Submissions for Zaum are reviewed from August-November, and submissions for Zaum XS are reviewed from January-March.
ZAUM
